New to PCG Server V2.5

1. User Interface Improvements

Standard pages now have an improved look and feel with more consistant page navigation features. There are now standard "Charts", "Extracts" and "Alerts" sub pages available for each site. The new "Alerts" sub page shows Alerts relating only to the currently selected site (Global Alerts are still available on the top level "Alerts" tab for users that have permission to see this). Also there is the addition of a new "About" page available to all users which lists current information about the system.

2. Enhanced Extracts

Extracts now provide much improved formatting options. Significant improvements have been made to delivery of extracts so the system can more efficiently handle multiple concurrent extracts.

3. PCG Management Improvements

Numerous improvements to make the administrators job easier including:

  • Standard archiving page now has a drop down selected to allow archiving to be performed up to a period prior to "Now" through to "3 years ago" so there is better control of what data is archived off.
  • Online "On the fly" update of licenses to enable new features as they are needed.
  • Configuration pages now have drop downs for connection selection eliminating errors with entering incorrect connection names. Once a new connection is configured in the Communications Manager it is available to be selected on the site.
  • Scripting commands allowing extended control and the ability to diagnose scripting issues can be executed via the command line.
  • Communications status page now automatically updates fields so status can be viewed "real time" without the need to refresh the page.

4. Fully integrated scripting

Beanshell has been made the standard integrated scripting language for all parts of PCG Server including "Core", "Charting", "Alerting" and all web page components. This is an easy to use standard scripting language that simplifies customisation and system maintenance.
