Because only a web browser is required, it is easy to roll out to multiple employees and provide external access to your system. This keeps growth costs to a minimum and improves team response to any monitored equipment issues.

Multiple sites and / or multiple PCGumServers can be cascaded together allowing a “corporate” hierarchical view of multiple plants through one server. This makes it easier and quicker for the corporate team member to get the information they need.

PCGumServer can directly collect data from local equipment, but really excels at collecting data from remote sites. Remote sites running PCGumGateway software (on a PC or Embedded device) collect and forward data to a PCGumServer via broadband, wireless, cellular or satellite using our advanced “Compact Binary Protocol” (typically 25% the data size of a “serialized” protocol).

PCGumGateway can also cache data so that latest values are normally sent regularly (for example every 15 minutes). However, full rate data can automatically be sent if a user is “viewing” the site on the server. This has the benefit of providing a near real time view of the site while minimising communications costs.
